Explanation of Our Memberships

Memberships at MilitaryGamers.com are, and always will be, absolutely free.

There are three basic categories of user accounts here at MilitaryGamers.com:

Registered Users: A user who has registered an account on our site in order to gain basic access the forums, or who may be awaiting membership approval.

Registered users are not considered members.
These accounts have no access to benefits and limited access to services, including restricted access to our site and forums, and limited use of our voice chat and game servers. Registered users can't take advantage of any other member services or benefits. These accounts are subject to periodic deletion at the discretion of the staff.

MG Members: These accounts have been approved for full membership status due to qualifying military service.

MG members have full access to all benefits and services we provide. These include full access to the various non-public forums, unlimited use of our voice chat and game servers, the privilege of wearing the "MG" tag when competing in online games, and the ability to join our in-game branches. MG members can further benefit from any special offers we may get from the gaming industry, receive prizes, and more. These accounts are not subject to deletion unless the member requests it.

MilitaryGamers.com membership is open to all service members of any US military branch, past or present. In order to become an MG member, you must be 18 years of age or older and have, at a minimum, successfully completed a basic training course for one or more branches of service.

MG Auxiliary Members: These accounts have been approved for a sponsored membership through an MG member.

MG Auxiliary members have access to most benefits and services as well. These include extended access to the forums, unlimited use of our voice chat and game servers, the privilege of wearing the "MGA" tag in online games, and the ability to join our in-game branches. MG Auxiliary members may be eligible for other benefits where it is deemed appropriate. These accounts are subject to periodic deletion if the member does not respond to activity checks to ensure that they are active within the community.

MilitaryGamers.com Auxiliary membership is open to friends and family of MG members that are 18 years of age or older, with a sponsorship.

Registration and Membership Process

The first step in becoming a member of MG or the MG Auxiliary is to register an account here on our site and choose the "Desired Membership" option that applies to you during registration.

If you've served in the US military, be sure to choose "MG Membership (US Military)".

If you've never served in the US military, but you're interested in joining the MG Auxiliary, choose "MGA Membership (Non-US Military)" and ensure that you enter your sponsor's MG account name in the "Sponsor" field. MGA memberships will not be approved without a valid MG Member listed as a sponsor.

In either scenario, once you reply to the verification e-mail and log in, your account is active as a Registered user.

The second and final step is that a senior MG staff member will review your profile. If you meet the requirements for MG or the MGA and you've set the option in your profile that you're interested in a membership, we'll upgrade your membership status automatically. You may be contacted via a private message here on our site to provide clarification or more information if we have questions regarding the information you provided during registration. If your profile does not contain enough information to meet the minimum requirements it will not be upgraded. Furthermore, it is your responsibility to ensure that all fields are filled out correctly, either during registration or by editing your profile. Once your profile meets our requirements, a staff member will upgrade your account to MG member or MG Auxiliary member status.

While we do our best to welcome each new member into the community, sometimes we just aren't able to greet you at the door, but we're certainly glad to have you, so be sure to explore our site and learn how you can begin to participate in our community and the games we play.

Check back often to verify the status of your membership. If several days have passed and your status hasn't changed, please contact an MG staff member (MG CO, MG XO, MG Officer, MG NCO) by sending them a private message. It would also behoove you to introduce yourself to the community in the "Introductions" forum once you've activated your account.

It is also strongly advised that you familiarize yourself with our Code of Conduct and our other policies at your earliest convenience.
