The guys/gals over at Codemasters (http://www.codemasters.com/) have posted a trailer (http://www.youtube.com/user/flashpointredriver) of their upcoming title, Operation Flash Point: Red River (http://www.flashpointgame.com/)...

In the first in a series of gameplay biographies introducing key players in the game's narrative, Staff Sergeant Knox explains his role in Tajikistan as the USMC are shown taking on deadly insurgent enemies.

The trailer demonstrates some of the wide range of combat scenarios which players will encounter in the game's diverse new battlefield of Tajikistan, with Knox's narration detailing his personal take on the conflict. From defending bases to sweeping through mountains, villages and towns to flush out entrenched enemies, Knox and his Marine Fireteams are shown engaging insurgents at range and close-quarters, supported by ground and air support. In an awesome display of power, A10 bombers are shown obliterating an insurgent stronghold with a strafing bombing run before the marines sweep in.

Out in Q2 2011

... Aside from the dialog sounding very much like a recruitment video for the Marines, overall the game play and graphics look pretty well conceived. I'm pretty sure that more than a few of us here at MG and it's sister MGA, will be looking forward to seeing more.

On a side note... For all of those interested in the financial success of Call of Duty: Black Ops, you'll be pleased to know that they've surpassed the $1 Billion (yes, with a B) mark. This is the only other form of media in history to achieve this sum of money as quickly as the movie Avatar... Now that's telling you something (like, PC gaming isn't as dead as the skeptics thought).

Speaking of a billion dollars and Christmas Wishes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPVuHP3OXk0&playnext=1&list=PL206941D5C1135A49&index=14).
